Technical question about macOS version

Hello,

As macOS is primarily a single-touch system, can O-S-C get multitouch data in this system whenever an appropriate device and driver are installed? I have a multitouch monitor with the Touch-Base driver providing the touch data over their UPDD server but I don't know how to get them to go into O-S-C.

My knowledge in this regard has not evolved since Touch multiple buttons simultaneously - #5 by jean-emmanuel, sorry.

I've just found this (archived) article from Jamie White.

@jean-emmanuel, does this give you any insight?

Yes it does thanks. I've also found this page that explains how things can be done, the browser extension might be worth testing. Integrating a TUIO server directly in o-s-c doesn't seem impossible but honestly I'd rather not go to down this road considering I don't have a mac to test it, it's kind of beyond how far I'm willing to fix things for systems that are arguably not doing it right in the first place.

Interesting, now there is a paragraph about open stage control in TUIO's documentation : Browser TUIO interface
It seems they've sorted it out in v1.2.0
