My DAW (cubase 13) is optimised for winRT MIDI - but I currently don't use that option - does OSC support winRT Midi if I switch it on in Cubase?
No it doesn't, if at some point the library used as open stage control's midi backend supports it it will as well, but I wouldn't bet on that.

I currently use windows midi to talk to OSC and I think this is starting to be considered legacy so I'm worried that OSC will be left behind and I wouldn't want your hard work to go to waste...
