Hello everyone.
I have a very troblesome issue.
I use two computer with rtp midi.
and I have a lot of midi port more than 40.
problem is everytime I reboot port number is changed.
(restart is fine. only happening after 'reboot')
So I have to reconfighure midi port. (more than 40 haha)
Is it happening because of too many port or is there any solution?
Any idea would be great
Thank you
Have a nice day!

Open stage control's midi config supports selecting ports by name:
input
/ output
can be port numbers or strings (as reported by the list
action). If a string is specified, the first port whose name contains the string will be used (comparison is case-insensitive).
(MIDI configuration - Open Stage Control)
For instance instead of writing
a:1,1
you'd write
a:portname,portname
or if the name contains white spaces
"a:port name,port name"

Thank you for reply jean
I reduced midi port to around 20
and I tried you suggestion
like....
AMic_Slave:-1,AMic_Slave
but after reboot, AMic_Slave connected to other midi port
(Console displayed correct midi port)
So It's changed.
Am I did something wrong?
Thank you
Yes it looks something wrong.
I found duplicated midi device in device manager
I tried to delete it. But it keeps regenerated.
Thank you fore your information
Hi,
Would you please copy paste your midi property field and the list midi result to give us more info ?
Loopmidi is often used with osc to manage midi ports on window$
It turns out RTP midi problem
After reboot rtp midi doesnt' connect to correct midi port
It solveved by change rtp midi option creation mode to Create port, fail enable if unsuccessful
I'm sorry
Thank you!
No problem, glad you sorted it out !
