Fader Widget midi in

Is it possible to send a midi message from my DAW to a fader widget?

I have created a panel of faders that send to Cubase to control Quick controls.

I want to be able to go the other way - to adjust the quick control in cubase, and the fader in OSC to update - is this possible?

Widgets update when they receive the same message they send, but I don’t know how to make cubase send these messages.

Ok, thanks - from what you’re saying then I just need to get cubase to send a cc message when I adjust the quick controller?

Solved it - Cubase VST Quick controls need to receive and send on the same channel - so OSC sees the message come back on the same channel.

Hi, I’m trying to reproduce the same thing in Cubase on Mac. Using track control from OSC in bi-directional mode but I have a midi loop problem somewhere. I’ve been trying to fix it all day without success…

Sub3OneDay could you be more specific about yours settings in cubase?

I think the solution is somewhere in the Studio Setup window of cubase.

At the moment in the Studio Setup window I have :

  • midiport setup window :
    IN / OSC midctrl / Visible X /State Active/ In All midi input X
    Out / OSC midctrl / Visible X /Active

  • Track Quick control window :
    Midi Input : OSC midictrl
    Midi Output : OSC midictrl
    QuickControl 1 / Chanel 1 / Address 50 / Max 127 / Flags Receive, Transmit
