Traversing - sliding finger from blank area onto a button

Hi,

Is it possible to touch an area without any button, then slide finger onto a button (without releasing finger from touch screen) and have the button activate?

Is it restricted by windows touch screen behavior?

It's not possible currently, the gesture must begin with a widget interaction.
